A year of management accounts.
Ninety seconds. Inside Excel.
Tejas turns raw trial balances from Xero or QuickBooks into a monthly TB for every month of the period you choose, a P&L and a Balance Sheet & Cash Flow — as real Excel cells you own, not a report you rent.
No credentials needed to try it. Free during early access.
What happens when you click
From trial balance to statements in four steps
A trial balance for every month, a Mappings sheet, a P&L and a BS & CF — a year's worth takes about ninety seconds.
Connect a data source
Xero, QuickBooks Online — or the built-in Demo company if you just want to see it work.
Pick your period
A quarter, a year, or as far back as the ledger goes. Tejas builds one trial-balance sheet per month, each exactly as the ledger stood at that month-end.
Review the Mappings sheet
Every account is classified into a reporting category on a generated Mappings sheet. Change one, and it reapplies across every month you built.
Statements build themselves
A P&L sheet and a Balance Sheet & Cash Flow sheet, regenerated in a single step whenever your mappings change.
Why Excel, not another platform
The output is the workbook you already deliver from
Real cells. Nothing locked.
Everything Tejas produces is native Excel — formulas you can inspect, sheets you can rename, files you can send to a client or a board without asking anyone's permission.
Mappings are live.
Recategorise one account and Tejas reapplies it across every trial balance and regenerates both statements in one step. Mark an account [Excluded] and it drops out of reporting everywhere.
Your month-end, not a new one.
Reporting platforms pull you out of Excel into their own report builder. Tejas meets you in the workbook you already deliver from — so there is nothing new to learn and nothing to migrate.
The AI layer
It proposes. You approve. Every time.
Ask the Mappings chat to “map all travel-related accounts to Overheads” or “audit my mappings” and it will propose the changes — each one with an Apply or Skip button. Ask Insights to “summarise the key messages for the board” and it resolves your question to a specific analysis tool and shows you what it is about to do.
Nothing writes to your workbook until you click Apply or press ▶ Run. And when you would rather have no AI in the loop at all, the deterministic packages — Monthly Review, variance, top spend, cash movement — run with no model round-trip.
Who it's for
Built for whoever owns the monthly pack
Fractional CFOs & outsourced FDs
You rebuild the same management-accounts pack for five, ten, fifteen clients a month. Tejas does the build; you keep the judgement — and the hours.
Practices & bookkeepers doing management accounts
Turn a monthly compliance touchpoint into an advisory one. Same Xero or QuickBooks data, a pack your client can actually read, delivered before they ask.
In-house finance leads
If your month-end still starts with an export and a lot of copy-paste, Tejas starts it with a click instead.
Where we are
You would be one of the first hundred
Tejas is new, and we are not going to pretend otherwise with invented testimonials. What we can promise the first hundred users is this:
What you get
- A 20-minute setup call with the person who built it, if you want one
- A direct line for bugs and requests — not a ticket queue
- Free use through early access, and a say in what gets built next
What we ask
- Run it on a real client and a real month-end, not just the demo
- Tell us bluntly where it gets in your way
- If it earns it, tell one peer
Questions accountants ask first
The short answers
Does Tejas change anything in Xero or QuickBooks?
No. Tejas reads from your ledger; it never writes back to it. The only thing it writes to is your Excel workbook — and only when you click.
What does the AI actually do?
Two things, both on a leash. In Mappings, a chat can bulk-propose categories (“Map all travel-related accounts to Overheads”, “Audit my mappings”) — every proposal gets Apply / Skip buttons and nothing is written without a click. In Insights, you can run deterministic analysis packages with no AI involved at all (Monthly Review: variance, top spend, cash movement), or ask a question in plain English that resolves to one of nine analysis tools — variance, month-on-month change, pivots by type, rolling averages, ratios, top-N, charts and more. Every one of those needs you to press ▶ Run before it touches the workbook.
Where does my financial data go when I use the AI features, and is it used for training?
Your data is never used to train AI models — not ours, not anyone else's. The deterministic analysis packages (Monthly Review, variance, top spend, cash movement) never call a model at all, so nothing leaves your session for those. When you do use the Mappings chat or ask Insights a question in plain English, the account names and figures needed to answer that request are sent to our AI provider to generate the response, and are not used for AI model training. Tejas also never writes back to Xero or QuickBooks — it only reads.
Is the output a locked template?
No. Everything is ordinary Excel: sheets, cells, formulas. Rename it, reformat it, build on it, send it on.
Do I have to build a whole year?
No. Pick whatever period you need — a single quarter for a board pack, a year for a review, or the full history for a new client. You get one trial-balance sheet per month either way.
Can I try it without connecting my own books?
Yes. The built-in Tejas Demo company has 27 accounts and 14 months of data and needs no credentials. Most people run a full-year build on it in their first two minutes.
What do I need to run it?
Tejas is an Office add-in that opens in a task pane inside Excel. Sign up, add Tejas to Excel, open the pane, and you are ready to connect a data source.
What does it cost?
Nothing during early access. We are working closely with the first hundred users and would rather have your feedback than your card details right now.
